Seal of Destruction

Seal of Destruction

“Speak your incantation, wizard. It may be your last.”

Gold Cost: 35 GC
Rarity: 10+
Type: Talisman (One use only)
Restrictions: Any alignment except Undead or Possessed. Cannot be used by Wizards.

Special Rule – Spelllock

The Seal of Destruction is a one-use artifact that may be activated after the bearer successfully dispels an enemy spell. When used, roll a D6:

  • On a 4+, the dispelled spell is sealed—the enemy Wizard may not attempt to cast it again for the rest of the game.
  • On a 1–3, the Seal fizzles and is consumed with no effect.

Note: The spell must have been successfully cast and then dispelled by the bearer (or the bearer’s warband). The Seal must be used immediately after that successful dispel.
Once used (regardless of the result), the Seal is removed from the model.

Lore Hooks / Acquisition Ideas

  • One of the Seven Seals, each bearing ancient Elven runes and a cursed whisper.
  • May be stolen from an elven archive, or found embedded in the petrified skull of a rogue necromancer.
  • Rumored to cause magical backlash if held by a spellcaster for too long.
