Feral Daemon-Beast of Fire and Ash

Where the veil between realms grows thin, Hell Hounds slip through—howling predators with burning breath and smoking jaws. They hunt in the ruins of Mordheim, drawn to wyrdstone, blood, and the scent of the unworthy.


May Be Allied: Possessed, Carnival of Chaos, Beastmen, Scion of Chaos warbands, and warbands with the Mark of Shornaal or Tchar.

Weapons/Armour: Fangs, claws, burning breath. Hell Hounds do not wear or use equipment.


Special Rules

Daemonic:
Follows all rules for Daemons (e.g. immune to psychology, poison, stunning, all alone, and has a 5+ ward save unless otherwise stated).

Burning Maw (Flame Breath Attack):
Once per battle, the Hell Hound may unleash a fiery breath attack instead of making its normal close combat attacks. All models in a 3" long, 1" wide line directly in front of the Hound must pass an Initiative test or suffer a Strength 4 hit with -1 to Armour Saves and the Fire trait (treat as fire for purposes of fear/fleeing, etc).

Fear :
Causes fear.

Beast Instinct:
The Hell Hound must always move toward the nearest visible enemy if not engaged, and will charge if possible. It cannot climb or use ladders.

Unnatural Speed:
When charging, the Hell Hound adds +1 to its Initiative for the first round of combat.

Scent of Wyrdstone:
The Hell Hound automatically senses hidden or invisible models within 4" if they are carrying wyrdstone.


Rating: Increases warband rating by 40 points.
