The Rat-Slayer of Loughton

Hear ye, hear ye, all trav'lers near,
A tale of triumph and lack of fear!
In Loughton’s streets, a plague ran rife—
A horde of rats causing unending strife.
But from the shadows rose a knight so fair,
With blade in hand, he’d banish despair.
Apex Daggerheart, hero so grand,
Freed every home in this troubled land.

Oh, sing it loud! The Rat-Slayer of Loughton stands!
Apex Daggerheart, mightiest in the lands!
He swept the vermin from rooftops to floor—
And the folk rejoice forevermore!

They gnawed the grain, they scuttled in the night,
Till Apex vowed to set it right.
His sword was swift, his courage keen—
Ne’er was such a valiant warrior seen.
Rats fled his path in terrified flight,
Yet none could escape his blazing might.
Now Loughton’s walls ring clear of squeaks,
All thanks to the champion everyone seeks.

Oh, sing it loud! The Rat-Slayer of Loughton stands!
Apex Daggerheart, mightiest in the lands!
He swept the vermin from rooftops to floor—
And the folk rejoice forevermore!

From dusk till dawn, his glory shines,
His name etched firm in witty rhymes.
He saved the folk from dire plight,
And turned the dark into morning light.

So raise your cups to the fearless blade,
Whose looks shall never fade.
In every tavern, voices ring,
In praise of Apex, whose song we sing.
When trouble stirs and hope is poor,
We pray for the Rat-Slayer at our door.
His legacy stands, defying years—
A shield against our greatest fears!

Oh, sing it loud! The Rat-Slayer of Loughton stands!
Apex Daggerheart, mightiest in the lands!
He swept the vermin from rooftops to floor—
And the folk rejoice forevermore!

Oh, hail handsome hero who quelled the rats!
Apex Daggerheart, with courage vast!
In Loughton’s lore, will he ever grace
The champion born to free this place!
