Restor de Tristram

Restor de Tristram

Restor de Tristram, a Satyr civilian advisor to the Court of Heat and Rapture and General-Headquarters-Hindquarters-Gives-Orders-Front-and-Rear-Sergeant-Billygoat-Legs, is a figure of charm and chaotic energy. Where the General embodies rigid order and regimented discipline, Restor revels in the freedom of unrestrained revelry, a walking embodiment of the satyr’s untamed spirit. His disheveled appearance and devil-may-care attitude make him a stark contrast to the General’s precise and polished demeanor.   Restor has a lean, wiry build, with tawny fur covering his goat-like legs and curling horns that sweep back from his tousled mop of dark hair. His clothes (when he actually wears any) are perpetually askew, a collection of mismatched fabrics and flamboyant accessories that give him the look of someone who either just finished a wild celebration or is about to start one. His amber eyes gleam with perpetual mischief, and his ever-present smirk seems to mock the seriousness of the world around him, including the General’s strict routines.   Despite his disdain for regimented behavior, Restor holds a peculiar fondness for the General and his absurdly exaggerated adherence to military decorum. He has a secret fondness of the General’s endless orders and pompous rituals, considering them amusing "moronicies", and finds secret amusement in observing (and occasionally poking fun at) the General’s antics. His wit is sharp, and his sarcasm is never far from his tongue, but his jabs at the General are delivered with a lightheartedness that belies genuine respect and affection.   In his advisory role, Restor often provides insight from a completely opposite perspective, championing spontaneity, creativity, and unorthodox solutions to problems. While the General might scoff at Restor’s seemingly anarchic suggestions, there have been times when the satyr’s unconventional advice has proven unexpectedly effective. Restor takes great pride in these moments, though he’s just as likely to make a joke of them as he is to take credit.   Restor’s position on the General’s court is both puzzling and strangely fitting. While he is everything the General is not—unpredictable, chaotic, and irreverent—their opposing natures create a dynamic that is oddly balanced. The General provides the structure and order that Restor disdains, while Restor injects the creativity and flexibility that the General’s rigid mindset often lacks. Together, they form an unlikely partnership, a comedic yet oddly effective pairing that keeps the Court both functional and entertaining.   To outsiders, Restor might seem like an affront to the General’s authority, but within the Court, his presence is a reminder that even the most disciplined operations need a touch of chaos to thrive. Restor de Tristram is a walking contradiction: a satyr who thrives in the company of order, a trickster who serves with loyalty, and a wild spirit who finds joy in the regimented absurdities of General-Headquarters-Hindquarters-Gives-Orders-Front-and-Rear-Sergeant-Billygoat-Legs.
