Duergar found beneath the Teapeak Mountains in the Ruins of Bol Kahldur extracting the poison from a dead purple worm. The party intimidated the group, and they began to parlay. They discovered that he and the others in his group were followers of Caena, The Mother of Plagues, and were extracting the poison as part of a ritual. To prove his worth to them and before the eyes of Caena, Bolvaic drank a draught of purple worm poison, which grossly injured him, but he remained standing and the group believed that Caena had accepted him and therefore, so would they.
The party asked Karkum and the other Duergar to be led out of the ruins. He agreed, if, in exchange, the party would depose of the necromancer, Mysafiestal. The party engaged and slew Mysafiestal and Karkum led the party out of the ruins beneath the mountains.
