Halp Wantered
The party receives a letter starting with "Halp Wantered". It is from Cian MacMillan, a young farm boy who wanted to hire the party to help return his Fey friend, Brae, to The Feywild. They discover that Brae, a Spriggan, has fled from the Court of Thorns and Brambles as he has a secret pertaining to the Barbed Countess. Brae fears that if he does not return himself, the Countess will send forces through to hunt him down, likely finding and killing Cian and his family and he resigns himself to returning without struggle, but needing to open a portal to the Feywild before the Countess can open a portal to hunt him down.
The party employs the aid of Boora Coven, where in exchange for their help, Rieta agrees to give the hags "a minute of her time", and Levi offered a journal of his family's history that he could not read and also asked him for "a word for a word."
In order to receive the last thing they needed from the hags, Rieta had to give Cinaed MacPharlain in Eastbridge a hug and to say it was from Mother Mayeye. When Rieta found Cinaed, she discovered that he ran the thieves guild. Malthus Normal gave her access to Cinaed and when she hugged him and said it was from Mother Mayeye, his eyes widened in recognition of the name and his body began to wither and weaken.
Returning to the hags, the party got what they needed to open the portal. When they did, they found that a small force of the Barbed Queen was guarding the area and they moved through the portal to attack. This included the Barbed Queen's champion, the Thorned Knight. The Knight was slain and his weapons of his station, his sword and his bow, were taken. Brae made it through the portal and closed it behind him, sealing himself to his fate with the Barbed Countess, but protecting the farm boy who helped him.
