Tribunus Cnaeus Arius
Cnaeus was found by the party after they defeated the apex werewolf, Ulfr. He was an Oleander Tribunus who was sent to deliver a message of coordination to Ulfr on behalf of the Oleander Throne. However, Cnaeus believed that it was a fruitless message and that the Oleander Throne was considering him and his efforts expendable. Ulfr was no longer worried about working with the Oleander Throne and captured Cnaeus, infecting him with lycanthropy.
Cnaeus was very adamant on being cured of lycanthropy, fearing being turned into a "beast". He offered to give the party all of his knowledge and cooperation in exchange for a cure. The party accepted this offer and he submitted to a zone of truth spell willingly.
He revealed that there was no divine god known as the All-Father, at least not in the same sense as the "pagan gods". Any of the priest of the All-Father that the party had met, were actually wizards who did not have access to traditional divine spells, such as healing and curative spells. He also stated that the Dragon Reckoning that occurred on the mainland (by which the current age's calendar begins at) was the reason why the Oleander Throne was able to conquer so many nations so quickly as the Oleander Throne was virtually untouched by the dragons' attacks--something that Cnaeus did not believe was merely coincidental.
He stated that the Oleander's mastery of magic came from their experimentation and exploitation of the Moonwells on the mainland. However, most of the wells on the mainland were no longer operational, and that is why the Oleander Throne is so focused on the isles--they desire the moonwells. However, it isn't merely for more exploitation and gains of magic, but rather because of their belief of the connection between the feywilds and the ideals of pagan divinity.
The Oleander Throne had performed experimentation through the moonwells on the isles, which ended up creating divine beings of Yeenoghu and Ydarion's Mother's Mother's Mother's Mother, and possibly others. Cnaeus believed that the intent was to use the moonwells to create a means for one to rise to divinity and truly become the All-Father.
Cnaeus stated that the plans for Ulfr's attack were merely to provide a distraction, though he stated that he was intended to instruct Ulfr to be certain to attack Caer Cenwynn. This led the party to believe that the moonwell that the Oleander forces were interested in as their real target would be near Caer Cenwynn, and they realized that it was likely the moonwell at the Silver Lodge.
He stated that Servius Oleander, one of the original founders of the Oleander Throne, had magically extended his life and it was he who intended on becoming the god of the Oleander Throne's beliefs.
Myohn cured Cnaeus of the lycanthropy and he submitted himself fully to capture and arrest by the party and Tertius who intended on making him a prisoner of war once he was returned to Eastbridge.
