Subclasses

Subclasses Overview

Once, there were only the original vampires. When one of these ancient beings turned a human, there was always a chance that the new vampire would manifest as a subclass. In many cases, these subclasses could even have children. However, every generation remained tied to the original Turner, meaning that when someone referred to their “Turner,” they were talking about that prime vampire ancestor who started their bloodline. Due to strict laws, only vampire nobles were permitted to turn humans directly, ensuring that these noble families and their subclasses remained within the same bloodline.
There’s a widespread belief that subclasses become “Blooded” when they fall in love with their Turner, although many Vampire Leaders and Nobles look down on subclasses as inherently inferior.
For lower-tier creatures like ghouls, evolution opened up a myriad of paths. While certain rituals or methods might sway the outcome, evolution was mostly a random process influenced by the individual’s circumstances and personality.
Within the Vampire School, the various bloodlines are divided into categories. One building is reserved for standard vampires, while three others house the subclasses:

Category A
Those closest to standard vampires.
Category B
The undead.
Category C
Creatures with strong magical abilities.
Subclasses never choose their family; they are bound to the one who turned or created them. This bond ensures that, whether working with others within their own family or collaborating with different vampire factions, their loyalty is always to their original Turner.
