Storm Feather /A/

Longbow, uncommon (Attunement Required)

This is a magical +2 long bow that has received additional enchantments to empower it further. The bow has 7 charges, which regains 1d6+2 charges back at dawn. As a bonus action you can use one of these charges to active the bow. It remains active for one minute or once an arrow from it hits a creature, which ever comes first. Upon hitting a creature with a charge from this bow, it deals an additional 2d8 lightening damage. At the cost of four charges you can use its Storm Strike feature, saying the phrase "I am the storm", which projects an actual bolt of lightening from the bow.   It was altered by the Paragon of Just, and now the bow is magical as far as overcoming creatures with resistance to non magical weapons.   It was further altered at the Agrocia Tower in Keythyra . It is now a +2 long bow, the max charges increased by 3 (already added in above), the additional lighten damage die is now D8s, also gaining "Storm Strike" feature.     Storm Strike.   Before releasing a drawn arrow, the wielder of this bow can say, "I am the storm". At the cost of four charges, the arrow becomes an actual bolt of lightening. From this bow, you now cast the spell Lighten Bolt at level 5. The bow has a DC15 for the saving throw, for the spell.

Discovery

Appearance

It looks like an ordinary longbow. Although upon closer inspection it seems to be made of a unique kind of wood. Trying to place it, it is hard to say. If one were to lean in and even try and smell it they'd come up with a strange surprise. It almost smells like rain. The smell of after a storm, but it seems to be soaked into this wood and doesn't fade away.
