Ralbas Esazi Warrior's Belt /A/ (Ral-bas Is-a-z)

Wonderous, rare (Attunement)

This belt has been further "Awakened" by Gos, the Keeper of Knowledge.   When hitting a creature with either an unarmed strike or a monk weapon you may expend one Ki point to deal extra damage. This damage is two of your martial dies, on top of your normal damage dice. It's damage type reflects either your monk weapon or unarmed strike. Once you have used this you cannot use it again until the start of your next turn.   You also gain a bonus to the saving throw DCs of your ki features. This Bonus is + 2. In addition, you can use an action to regain ki points equal to a roll of your Martial Arts die. You can’t use this action again until the next dawn.

Discovery

In Gramsby there is a quaint little shop in the South Burrows called Mel's Many Marvels. Inside is the even more charming shopkeeper, Mel. She seems to do dealings in all sorts of random goods, even making a few of her own. A lot of her items are magical in nature ranging from cute trinkets to something more.. Adventure worthy.

Appearance

This black belt looks like any other martial arts type of belt, but it has some unique glyphs on it. After tying it around one's self, the ends hang a good two feet from the wearer's hip.

History

Upon doing a history check from Shifty, he recognized the name of this belt.   The name is mostly still in the world through text, but a few places within Moenkre may still know his teachings and techniques. Ralbas Esazi was a world renown monk and perhaps the most well known Tabaxi monks. At least in what is left for recorded history after and since The Great War. He trained mostly in Asteria, and was pivotal figure in conflict there centuries ago.   After completing their training in multiple monasteries, they took to adventuring to help others and pass on their knowledge to those who were curious about it. They wandered into a city that had a problem that was only growing by the day and Ralbas decided to intervene. A near by mountain was the house of a white dragon. Albeit youngish for a dragon, it was growing in power and expanding its territory more and more. Ralbas joined some others that were willing to venture to its lair. There was a "deal", you could say on the table. That they would try and give the dragon to keep it further away from the city. If it refused, these souls that came to delivery this deal would try and take them down. Ralbas and a couple others barely survived after slaying the dragon.   Upon getting the renown as someone that came to aid for strangers and defeating a dragon.. He used his name to help open some monasteries of his own. There were a few in Asteria, one or two in The Core, possibly more on other continents. He was trying to spread his own fighting style that he made through prior teachings taught to him, as well as a good nature to others. And now even if he was spreading this name as much as he could.. These places of teaching didn't last much after his death. This being because he was deeply involved with his all of these monasteries and they just kind of fell apart afterwards. Also partly due to him teaching some rather powerful techniques that should have only been used for good. With him gone, those skills were used for things he would have never wanted them to be used for. So the ones left with the knowledge stopped teaching it to others.   Some of his monasteries still stand, but none really still train with his styles and techniques. It is just other monks having acquired the buildings.   This isn't an item that was wore by Relbas themselves, but rather something higher ups would receive for completing certain schools of training.
