Lantern, rare
As an action, you can say the word "illuminate" and the lantern lights up. Once active, speak the words "brighten" and "dim" to adjust the light. Its max is, a 20 foot radius of bright light, and 20 feet of dim past that. Speaking the word "Conclude" and the light fades away. You can also use the word "Float" and it will hover in place. It will do this no more then 10 feet from the ground, and if it is grabbed it breaks the magical hold and can be moved freely like normal.
Lastly, you can say the word "daylight" and the spell daylight is cast. The target of the spell is the lantern itself. Once the spell ends, the lantern can no longer be used. The diamond (at least 20gp) inside of it burns up and needs to be replaced before any features of this lantern will work again.
Discovery
While in the Black Oak Forest, the party entered a fight, in a sacred place. One of the many boulders along the paths, that were deemed safe havens for travelers. Hours after, they heard stomping and one of the guardians of the forest came rushing in. A Treant named Talfurn. They had done good things in the forest, maybe some questionable, but this act left them in a bind. Talfurn asked them to deal with a problem for him. Skaarn. A giant, smart, evil earth elemental. If the party could defeat him, they could leave the forest in peace after this incident. They agreed, and after defeating this foe in his cave, they found some loot from other adventures that had suffered a different fate upon meeting Skaarn.
Appearance
The top has a metal eye hook so it could be hung from something. Coming down from that is a circular dome shape, to the top hollowed out center. The midsection of the lantern is hexagonal in shape, but also coned. Being wider at the top, then narrowing down, smaller at the base. Inside this part would normally be fuel and a flame. With this lantern, it is simply a small diamond that is floating in the center. The the underside of the main cylinder is domed but then has a pointed tip aiming straight down.
Side note
This isn't the first magical item found with the name "Pomop" in it. There was also a rod that was found in Figlin's Blunger, in the Black Oak Forest. This was in the stone grave within the ruins, where they found a few other magic items.
