Aureate Syndicate

The Aureate Syndicate is a multicontinental guild comprised of individuals seeking wealth, power, and opportunity.

Description

The Aureate Syndicate is a hierarchal guild with autonomy where each branch and member is expected to contribute to the guild in their own way. Members are divided into branches and are assigned tasks suiting their personal skills and rank. Members are granted powers through a pact with its founder Rhatahandra the Argent Empress, an ancient silver dragon.

Membership and Organization

Barring exceptional circumstances, membership to the syndicate is a lifelong affair.   Membership of the guild is divided into 5 major branches, each with their own specialization and focus. Upon gaining trust and autonomy within the guild a member is assigned to a branch and assigned quests befittiong that station. Members are given benifits such as: access to support from other members upon request, access to guild safehouses and resources, preferential treatment and financial support by other branches, and magical powers granted by Rhatahandra to name a few.

Golden Fox - Producers

Craftsmen, farmers, artisans, enchanters. This branch is focused on the creation of goods. The promise of great welath and safety pulls in many who are looking for a better life, and to be free of those who would stop them from achieving it.

Crimson Blade - Enforcers

Soldiers, mercenaries, gladiators, criminals. This branch is focused on military strength. The promise of magical enchantment, powerful comrades, and stable safehouses in a dangerous world bring in those who need a warm meal and a place to clean their blades.

Azure Owl - Investors

Merchants, bankers, inkeepers, fences. This branch is focused on the manipulation of currency and trade. The recruitment process is a bit more selctive and delibrate given the nature of their work. They are slowly given access to the guilds vast funds to further enterprises otherwise unobtainable. The patronage given on merits alone draw in many who wouldn't be able to see the glint of gold.

Ivory Fang - Reclaimers

Theives, con artists, scoundrels, shadows. This branch is focused on separating fools from their ill gotten wealth. These members operate more independently than the other branches, relying on the guild for information and support of safehouses and fences. Relocating gold to its rightful place they often target rich spoiled aristocrats and lazy lords born into their wealth for their 'liberation missions'.

Silver Drake - Leadership

Senior members of the guild are rarely promoted to the rank of silver drake. Little is known of them outside the orders they send. It is rumored that a member of the syndicate sees a silver drake twice in their lifetime. Once when they are being initiated, and again on their deathbed. Higher ranking members of the syndicate have ways to contact the drakes. Though the exact means is kept a secret.

Ranks and Tattoos

Each member of the Aureate Syndicate is given a tattoo signafying their rank and placement within the guild. Upon initiation members receive a tattoo in the shape of the sigil. Upon being promoted the tattoo becomes more intricate as each promotion adds details that represent the members rank within their branch. The ranks of the Syndicate are as follows:

Initiate

The lowest rank. A rank and file member, these new recruits are watched over and escorted on missions by higher ranking members. They recieve marginal magical and material boons as long as they prove themselves useful.

Agent

Members who heave earned the trust of the Syndicate. These members are placed into a branch and given autonomy as long as they remain a profitable asset to the guild. They may have access to the guilds support network and are assigned tasks to complete how they see fit. Their tattoos have the symbol of the branch they belong to layered underneath the sigil.

Branch Head

Distuingished and powerful leaders who are given orders to grow and expand the guilds influence. These members are problem solvers and frequently are assigned or accompany the most difficult problems the guild has to face. The sigil of syndicate is turned silver upon their branch being recognised a success by Rhatahandra.

Silver Drake

The highest rank a member can achieve. These leaders are hand picked by Rhatahandra and are the elite leaders of the guild.
