The Divine Matrix

A theoretical machine that can create gods as well as new life. Proposed by the now Eternal Empress Maki-Ai Nefirimu as a means to revive extinct species in a attempt to revive dead areas of the world. The concept of the Matrix is to return cornerstone species that have gone extinct to replenish ecosystems that have been ruined or in some means distroyed.  Maki proposed that this machine can be used to repopulate areas that have been devastated by one means or another. Upon attempting to create a prototype of the machine she came to a both amazing and terrifying conclusion. That in fact the machine can be made that was the good news, but the amount of energy needed to bring back a single species from extinction is so massive that it would be the equivelent of a second Carsus' folly. Although it is possible to do so the risk of doing so is to great. When reaching this conclusion she scrapped the entire project including dismantleing the prototype and distroying the blueprints. She olny kept a single copy of her reasearch which she locked away in her own portible hole which she keeps on her person always.
