Ganvern Battlewood
Ganvern Battlewood’s drive to help the lower class is stronger than ever! Even though he is starting to become an elderly man doesn’t mean his drive to help others has slowed. Ganvern is an elderly human male physician who helps anyone in need. His daughter, a halfling named Elywyn, helps him in his medical practice creating balms and remedies just like her mother used to.

Ganvern moved to Mythrite to watch out for his childhood friend, Braven Terros, who wanted to make a mining fortune. Ganvern didn’t share this desire, he only cared about helping those who were sick and in need. Before leaving his home in Daggerford, Ganvern was known one of the best young physicians. He was known for giving the best medical treatment for whatever his clients could pay. Since coming to Mythrite he has overcharged the rich and undercharged the poor for his services.
After a number of years in Mythrite, Ganvern was growing weary and wanted to travel the world to give medical help to those in need. However; he met his one true love: Naeryn Glynwynn. Naeryn was an elf with a bright and bubbly personality. She was a herbologist who specialized in making all different types of balms and remedies. She eventually joined Ganvern in his medical ventures. Together, Ganvern and Naeryn had a single daughter, Elywyn Glyn Battlewood. When Elywyn was ten, tragedy struck the Battlewood family. Braven, who had been a long-time family friend, died tragically in a mining accident. He left all of his money and possessions to the Battlewood family. This made it possible for Ganvern and Naeryn to move out of The Halberd and into Eronia. They wanted Elywyn to grow up in the best environment possible. A year after settling into Eronia, Naeryn tragically died. She was attacked by Dark Beasts while collecting herbs from the forests. This was a huge shock to both Ganvern and Elwyn.
Today, Ganvern has two main motivations: making the world the best it can be for his daughter Elywyn and doing what would make Naeryn proud. Ganvern, being a long-standing community member of Mythrite helps settle disputes. He is known for helping the poor pay off their debts for essential services. Ganvern has also been known to meddle with disputes that are none of his business; however, every time he does get involved with disputes, both parties leave happy and satisfied.
Elywyn is more like her mother than her father. She is a young and beautiful halfling in her early 20s. She has her mother’s bright and bubbly personality and her father’s ambition and thoughtfulness. She loves to continue the work her mother started. Recently, Ganvern has become concerned with Elywyn because she parties a lot. She has ended up at the Hall of the Mountain Kings one too many times. Despite this, Ganvern knows Elywyn is just living her life to the fullest and that when the time comes, she will exceed his hopes and expectations.
