Order of the Watchful Eye

A secret society with branches in nearly every nation of Mithlonde, the Order of the Watchful Eye is one of the most enigmatic organizations on the continent. It's membership is entirely secret and no government or other investigative agency has ever been able to infiltrate a branch, or even divine a meeting through magic.
This complete secrecy has spawned numerous outlandish theories about their involvement in geopolitical affairs. Some think it counts all the leaders of Mithlonde among its members, or that they pull the strings from the shadows to manipulate the wars for their own benefit. Others claim its a front for extraplanar invaders, or some undetermined species of shapeshifters. The validity of any of these has yet to be ascertained.
