Halfling

Possibly the youngest race on Mithlonde, many human anthropologists see halflings as an offshoot of humans due to their physical similarities, a claim which most halflings do not entertain. Halflings do resemble a scaled down human in a lot of respects, with a similar range of builds and skin and hair tones.
Halflings find themselves without a home of their own or much of distinct culture. Perhaps arising too late to develop one in the midst of the rapid human expansion, or because they were among the first to be absorbed and integrated into the Sarkhani empire. Halflings tend to live in and around human settlements, though in the larger cities they will often congregate into sub communities.
