Deep Ocean Tempests

Thought by many arcanists to be yet another wound left on Thora  by the The Cataclysm, the near ever-present storms make journeys too far from the coast of Mithlonde all but impossible.

Recent Abatement and Return

For a period of nearly 50 years, the Deep Ocean Tempest waned to the point of allowing sea travel far beyond the continent. This allowed for the discovery of the @Rana Archipelago and the settlement of a handful of colonies there.
The reason for this easing of the Tempest is not yet know, nor was it to last. The Tempest has returned in full force, once again physically and magically isolating Mithlonde. Those whose loved ones settled the Rana Archipelago fear they will never see or hear from them again.
