Can multiple spells be cast during the same turn when one is cast as a bonus action?
[...] You can't cast another spell during the same turn, except for a cantrip with a casting time of 1 action.
When using Quickened spell, you can cast a spell that has a cast time as an action using your Bonus Action. You ignore the limitation of being able to cast a single spell higher than a cantrip.
Update 14th June 2020: Fry has rescinded ruling, we are now going by the rules as written.
How do ranged attacks in melee work?
All ranged attacks have disadvantage:When you make a ranged attack with a weapon, a spell, or some other means, you have disadvantage on the attack roll if you are within 5 feet of a hostile creature who can see you and who isn't incapacitated.
Difference between spells that are cubes and spheres?
Because dnd is non-euclidian "sphere" is debatable in itself, but the big difference is that a sphere has the origin in its centre, while a cube has it on its face. See PHB p. 204-205.Note that the origin of a cube may be included when casting a spell:
A cube's point of origin is not included in the cube's area of effect, unless you decide otherwise.
