Vel'shana

The Vel'shana is an ethnic group within the Felari race, they are well known for their affinity with the forested and temperate regions of Mirateia, they are a semi-nomadic people, following the seasons and more often than not, leaving the land they have inhabited in a better condition than when they arrived. While the large majority prefer to live their nomadic lifestyle, some settle down in human and eleven cities, often taking jobs like gardeners, tending to the gardens of the wealthy or being hired by the council of the city to tend the parks of the cities, making sure the land is in the best possible condition.
The people take an appearance of tawny or dusky skin with markings that resemble camouflage, camouflage that helps them blend into the wooded surroundings they inhabit. Their eyes follow the common traits of the Felari and range from golden-yellow to pale green and their hair colours range from dark brown to black, with some of them having a auburn or red tint to it.
The Vel'shana are a people of storytellers and artisans, who believe in the sanctity of balance and harmony of the land, their artisans are well known for being able to create melodies that are often described as being hauntingly beautiful and rarely leave even the most hardened person with a dry eye. The Vel'shana follows a deity which name dont translate well into Crienic but is known as Vel'Thaelynn, a deity that is associated with cycles of life, death and the forests. Outsiders are rarely allowed to observe the ceremonies surrounding their deity, but they have been described as intricate dances with offering to their deity consisting of carved wooden totems.
They interact well with the other races of the land but can be seen as enigmatic but still approachable, their merchants are known to trade herbs they pick up on their nomadic travels, or finely crafted wooden goods.
