El´s Dew
El´s Dew is a small village in a small and remote valley. According to the local magistrate, the population is recorded as around 850 people.
The villagers in El´s Dew are a close-knit community. Their daily lives are slow and dictated by the seasons and their local customs. They are likewise proud of the beauty of their valley. Due to the remoteness of the village, the buildings are rather primitive and made of stone found on the fields, timber and thatched roofs, some houses are built into the hillside with only the front end sticking out.
The river that runs through the village provides fresh water, and young children and teenagers often fish in it, providing their families with a small amount of fish.
Near the village, hidden within the forest, a lake is said to house a sleeping water spirit, and therefore the children should not go near this lake, while it's not uncommon that spirits inhabit lakes and such, they are normally not bothered by mortals, being near or in the river, some even find joy seeing the mortals having a good time, so it's more than likely that the villagers are telling their kids this story as a mean to keep them safe. Should someone get hurt the village is home to a healer, an elf some centuries ago walked into the village on a journey and decided to settle in the village and having some knowledge in healing they made a healers shop and have helped the villagers ever since.
The villagers have in the centre of the village a small shrine where small offerings, like flowers, fruit or a child's favourite stone can be placed in the hope that the valley spirit will provide them with what they need.
