Dragon´s Harvest

It started like any other day in the small village of Mapmoorde, it was a warm and sunny day, the breeze was light and warm.
Suddenly it was like the wind stopped and when the villagers stopped and listened, it was like all the animals the birds, the husbandry animals had stopped making any sound and then the sound came, it began as a low scream that quickly turned into a terrifying scream that some of the survivors have described as the sound of a banshee.
What had happened that day, was something that had never before as long as there had been records make in the Empire of Dercia. what had happened was a dragon attack on a village, but not just any dragon it was one of the legendarily rare feathered dragons. Their feathers made it possible for them to fly through the air almost without a sound and when they made their favourite form of attack, a dive attack, the feathers had a special ability to make that now-legendary scream, a feature they made use of to stun their prey and now this dragon made use of it to attack settlements.
When the dragon landed, it began to unleash havoc onto the village and managed to destroy several buildings and when it finally left it had several people in its front claws and flew away, those people were never seen again.
When the survivors from the attack told their story and officials from the empire came to investigate, they did see signs that were pointing towards a dragons attack but because no one had ever seen a feathered dragon attack before, they were not sure if it was a dragon or something else. 
That changed when the next attack came...
