Breszai River
The Breszai River marks the border between Grand Republic of Qick and the Principality of Clifia. The river became the border after a period of expansion by the Principality and it was at the border that the Grand Republic was able to stop the armies of Clifia.
The river plays a huge role in how Qick thinks about itself, it has over the years gained a place in the minds of the citizens as the great protector of the nation and many cults worshipping the river spirit said to inhabit the river have sprung up over the years.
Geography
The Breszai River have multiple outspring, but the one counted for its main one is 512 meters above sea level.
the lowest part of the river is near its outspring and is just a handful of centimetres and the deepest is when the river runs over an ancient sinkhole and is close to 60 meters.
The river has one of the largest river deltas in Mirateia and the river embayment is some of the most fertile soil in the region.
Ecosystem Cycles
The Breszai River experiences a few times every decade when the river goes over its embankments and floods the local area, where it leaves important fertile minerals that help make the area a fertile area for farming.
Fauna & Flora
The Breszai River is home to multiple fish species, turtles, alligators just to name a handful.
History
Over time the Breszai River have changed courses a number of times, and have both caused much growth for the new towns that sprung up along the new course and on the other side, it left lots of towns that had previously relied on the river for their survival was now forced to find other ways or was simply abandoned.
