Aurial mead

Aurial mead is a mead originally brewed in the region between the Empire of Dercia and the Principality of Clifia its golden-hued colour has led to it being named after the elven world for dawn.   The drink is made from a blend of citrus, honey, and a touch of jasmine. It is typically served chilled during the warm summers, but in the colder months, it will be served heated with some extra spices added.   Some say that the drink tastes better when served in clay mugs instead of metal during local festivals or ceremonies such as marriage.    Some stories go that the drink first originated among the elven enclave of Maskanas, but the truth of the story has been lost to time and over the years the drink has spread so much that multiple stories have sprung up and no one is quite sure now about which one is the truth.
Take clean river water that have been allowed to go stale, mix in a bowl of honey. Do one want a weaker mead, reduce the honey or add more water. The barrel is then left in the sun for just over a month, lenght depends on how strong one wishes the mead to be. its them left on a shelf near the fireplace of the house.
- Ancient recipe
The Aurial is generally viewed as the drink for the common people as it is one of the easiest ones to make and unlike wine, it dont take up entire fields and requires someone to look after the plants for years before they start giving fruit, with Aurial mead, all you need is some honey and citrus which is a common enough tree that it's easy to get, and should the drink be brewed in a region where it's not possible to get citrus, other versions of the mead can be brewed using other fruits.
