The Dercian army is well known and feared all over Mirateia due to their discipline and skills on the battlefield. There are stories of soldiers fleeing just by the legions marching towards them, and the steady footsteps of the legionaries make it sound like thunder.
But just like an army cant march or fight on an empty stomach, then they can't fight without their armour being in the best condition and to this, the Armorer is priceless to the legions, they are a crucial part of ensuring the safety, efficiency and grandeur of the Dercian legions.
It then doesn't come as a surprise that the Armorers workshop is one of if not the busiest places in the camp, whether in one of the permanent camps or in the mobile ones when a legion is on the march.

An Armorer will have a steady income since something always breaks in the legions that need fixing. Still, on a lower level, the Armorer will also gather countless small favours from the soldiers when they come begging for the Armorer to fix something of theirs fast before an inspection or similar.

Amoun the soldiers, the armorer is second only to the cooks. An armourer that retires from the legions and decides to work in the civilian world can expect a higher number of customers as people are more likely to go to one that has served in the legions than one that has not, especially if the customer is looking for weapons.

In the more permanent bases for the legions, the Armorers workshop will have all sorts of equipment while the ones that move with the legions when they are on campaign will have lighter equipment and will have helpers that can help make a makeshift fireplace if needed.
