SESSION 4

General Summary

Askr

Bright and early in the morning, the party is greeted by a delivery man handling a very heavy package "From: Daddy To: Jessica". Carvey was about to take the package however Reed steps in front and takes the package which proves to be to heavy for him and ends up dropping it. After Reed, Jessica, and Rowan all fumble with trying to lift the package Carvey finally steps in and puts it on the table. When Jessica opens it, it's revealed that it's a sack filled to the brim with gold with a tag that says "Jessica Snack Money". Jessica becomes immediately disgruntled and wishes to send the money back since she wants to be independent of her father. The group tries to convince Jessica to split the money with them but she's completely against it. Carvey still attempts to take some, but seeing as he's the only one then backs off and helps Jessica carry the money to her room. 
The group then heads to the AA to see if there's any new quests available and there they meet Zenaster who seems to be slightly hung over from partying the night before. The group finds out about the two new quests that were posted as well as letting Theodore know that Oliver and Coco went missing. Theodore then said he would put missing posters up. Before heading off on the journey Reed sells Theodore a small greenbottle special of hair wax. The group took on two quests, the scouting mission for The Cavern of the Void and 'The Bandits are Coming!". The group then prepared and went on their way. 

North Askr Plains

Along the trail to the cavern the party came across the bandits that were trying to shake down money from people trying to pass by. The group tries to sneak and ambush however a few of them were caught. Ren then goes head first into the fray and begins to bluff that he has the guards on their way to arrest them now. They seemed to start hesitating now but still didn't back down. So the party used a combination of illusions to make it appear like there was more of them there. The bandits started to scatter however the group didn't pursue. They then scouted out by climbing the tallest tree and saw a smokestack towards the west. They decided to go towards the cavern of the void first and deal with the bandits later. 

Cavern of the Void

Once the party got to the entrance of the Cavern they decided make Carvey invisible and send him to scout ahead. While inside Carvey found a bunch of dretchs feasting on small animals. Once done, Carvey came back outside and told the party what he saw. They were about to leave and report when Ren got a message from Adenine to go into the cavern. Ren then persuaded the group to go inside to scout out more. Once inside the group took out the dretchs and demon maws out flawlessly. When they got deeper into the cave they came across a gate made of fog. After debating for a few, Adenine tells Ren to go inside. The group then goes in and once they came upon the gate it feels as though they're gently sucked forward into the room. Once in the room they see a massive sphere that seems to have something flowing inside. Adenine tells Ren to put his pact weapon into the sphere and once he does a Rutterkin pops out and immediately attacks him knocking him down. After a grueling fight the party manages to clutch victory. Afterwards Ren puts his sword back into the sphere and his weapon draws out all of the energy within the sphere. The sphere then appears to turn into metal and lies dormant. Once the party gets settled they look around the room where they see the butt of a cigarette lying near the now dormant sphere. Convinced that Oliver was here the party goes outside to take a short rest before presumably going to take care of the bandit camp next.
