The Cybrex

Era beginning/end

The Cybrex, a vast machine intelligence, is created by a spacefaring species called the Kuur. Shortly after destroying their creators, the Cybrex embarks on a 17-year crusade against organic life in the galaxy. The Cybrex programming suddenly shifts after those 17 years, and over the next century, slowly retreats from the galaxy.

Approximately five thousand years later, independent explorers discover a Cybrex ringworld. The neighbouring military powers create a coalition and destroy the Cybrex completely. The Cybrex do not resist.
