Titan

Titans are a class of space ship primarily intended for the space superiority role. They were originally constructed by the stagnant ascendencies of the galaxy millennia ago, and long-distance reconnaissance has allowed the more active galactic powers to replicate their roles and weaponry. They are immense craft, operated by only a handful of spacefaring societies at great expense. Their primary weapon is the perdition beam, an incredibly destructive energy weapon capable of destroying even a battleship in a single hit. Titans are also armed with a number of smaller, but still extremely heavy weapons to augment its primary armament. Due to their size, titans require specialised facilities in large starbases to construct, limiting the number that can be produced.

Titans are occasionally equipped with secondary systems like FTL inhibitors or munitions plants to augment their already impressive power. In some cases, the mere presence of a titan is inspiring enough to encourage the crews of other ships to fight harder. However, even the most powerful of the modern titans are smaller and less heavily armed than the hulking shadows looming in the core systems of stagnant ascendancies. These ancient warships are believed to be significantly more destructive, with even more powerful defences.
