Sifran
Sifran is a habitable tropical world, notable for being the homeworld of the Graparx and the capital of the Graparx Primal Stalkers. The planet is the second satellite of the So'Sifran System, and has one orbiting moon of its own. Sifran is a densely-forested tropical world, with high humidity and temperatures across the entire surface. It has a significant hydrosphere, with approximately 65% of the planet's surface covered in water. Much of the natural landmass is covered in extremely dense jungle, except at the poles where there are more temperate boreal forests; and at the equator, where there are grasslands and thinner rainforests.
The population of Sifran, almost entirely Graparx, primarily lives in dense cities along coastlines and inland waterways. Cities are protected by significant anti-fauna defences, such as electric fences, land mines, sentry turrets, ultrasonic emitters, and thick walls, along with constant patrols by the Graparx Land Force. Settlements are constructed with large water reservoirs and the ability to quickly drain large amounts of wastewater, due to the planet's dramatic shift between dry and wet seasons. Outlying settlements, particularly the large farms that comprise the bulk of the planet's economy, are more reliant on mobile hunter units to protect them, as well as 'soft' defences like hardening food storage buildings.
The planet's fauna is among the deadliest in the galaxy, with many life forms capable of killing fully grown Graparx with ease. This is partially due to the planet's slightly lower relative gravity, but also due to the abundance of oxygen in the atmosphere and an abundance of biological life to feed upon. The Graparx 'conquest of nature' during the 19th century CE saw major cities connected by lengthy paved highways and railways, which have seen been upgraded and expanded for use in the spacefaring age. Although there are some airborne predators, they pose no danger to vehicles larger than hovercars.
