Jehet Prime
Jehet Prime is a habitable tundra world, notable for being the homeworld of the Jehetma and the capital of the Jehetma Dominion. The planet, which has a single orbiting moon, is the third satellite of the Jehet System. Jehet Prime's climate features brief summers, long winters, and a surprisingly substantial (for a cold world) hydrosphere that is primarily located in vast, distributed swamps, lakes, and bogs. It is believed that millions of years ago, Jehet Prime's hydrosphere was almost entirely locked inside glaciers, but after a period of warming, the glaciers have almost entirely melted and deposited their water into lowlands.
Due to the soggy nature of much of the planet's terrain, structures are preferably built atop higher or rockier ground. Many Jehetma cities consist of small yet highly dense city blocks atop hills, connected to those a few hundred metres away via bridges and skyways across the much less suitable bogs between. Although colder, the polar regions of Jehet Prime offer more suitable foundations, as the frozen ground is more supportive of heavy structures. In contrast, the constant freezing and thawing of bogs and marshes in the equatorial region means buildings require constant maintenance and additional foundation support to remain upright.
Jehet Prime's significant hydrosphere means that, compared to worlds with similar temperatures and seasonal shifts, it is capable of supporting far more agriculture than otherwise expected. Jehetma farmers utilise the bogs, marshes, and unfrozen lakes as farmland for raising crops. Most farmland is close to the highly dense urban regions of the planet, and many farms are located in the bogs in between urban 'islands' in cities. However, many wetlands across the planet have been designated as nature preserves by planetary authorities, or are home to the gigantic Jehetma elders that can span multiple miles in length.
