Deepsickness

History

This sickness has been around and existed in the minds of the general populous for centuries. It is reported to have been first discovered and named at some point during the Age of Wandering as mortalkind began rebuilding the historical documentation of the world.

Deepsickness has been around for long enough that its symptoms and treatments are well known and widely practiced.

Generally, most of mortalkind is familiar with it. It's not feared, simply watched out for, and is only seen as a temporary inconvenience.

Alternative Names: Body-Fever, Dryness

Prognosis

Deepsickness is a catch-all term for bacterial infections, as the body commonly reacts to many different bacteria in the same or similar ways.

It is contagious but not hard to guard against. Physical contact with the soft tissues of an infected host are likely to lead to transmission.

Symptoms
  • High fever
  • Body/Headaches
  • Fatigue
  • Drymouth

Deepsickness is not a long-lasting sickness, usually subsiding after 2-3 days. Recovery can be usually quickened with rest. Often the symptoms are treated with basic herbal remedies.

There are no lasting effects other than a decreased chance of contracting Deepsickness in the future.
