Sunforge
Sunforge is a small but fiercely resilient dwarven nation located in the southern stretch of the Dread Mountains, just south of the Northern Lands. Its settlements cling to the rugged cliffs and volcanic-forged caverns of these mountains, serving as one of the last bastions of civilization before the inhospitable far north. Despite its small size, Sunforge is strategically vital. It anchors the center portion of the Wall of the North, an ancient titanic fortification that separates Arelonia from the horrors, monsters, and ancient remnants lurking in the Northern Lands. The nation is renowned for its unmatched metallurgy, disciplined defenders, and its role in the military alliance known as the Vanguard.
Structure
Sunforge is ruled by a Highthane, elected for life by the clan elders of Sunforge and Moonforge. The Highthane traditionally resides in the capital under the Great Spire of the Sun Hammer.
A smaller war council oversees the defense of the Wall of the North and coordinates with the governments of Meadkeep and the Empire of Ivarn.
