Lilith Fireshaper's story begins in the shadowed alleys of Hazburgh, a city teeming with both magic and wealth. Born to a tiefling mother and a human father, Lilith's crimson skin and curling horns marked her as different from the moment she drew her first breath. Her parents, both practitioners of the arcane arts, had hoped their daughter would inherit their talent and legacy. And indeed, from an early age, Lilith displayed a natural affinity for magic that surpassed even their highest expectations.
Yet, despite her prodigious talent, Lilith's childhood was far from idyllic. Soon after her enterance in her teenage years, her parents passed in an arcane test gone wild. Living on the streets, she was taunted and ostracized by her peers. As a result she learned to keep to herself, finding solace in the pages of ancient tomes and the quiet whispers of forgotten spells. Her only friend was the darkness that cloaked her, offering sanctuary from the harsh judgment of the world above. As she grew older, Lilith's powers flourished, her spells weaving intricate patterns of shadow and flame that danced at her command. But with her growing strength came increased scrutiny from those who feared and mistrusted her kind. Accusations of dark magic and devil worship followed her like a shadow, driving her further into isolation.
It was during one of these lonely nights that Lilith first felt the presence of Mephistopheles, the dark lord of the Nine Hells, whispering promises of power and acceptance into her ear. Desperate for a sense of belonging, she embraced his teachings, dedicating herself to his service in exchange for the strength to protect herself and those she cared about. Thus began her career in the Church of Mephistopheles. She took to her new studies with keen interest on the law and contracts that her heritage was infamous for.
Yet, as Lilith soon discovered, Mephistopheles's contract came with a heavy price. Tasked with serving as his chosen champion, she found herself thrust into a world of intrigue and deception, forced to navigate the treacherous waters of Hazburgh's political landscape while battling against those who sought to thwart her master's ambitions. She found herself poised to serve the Seneschal of Hell and leaned into the law, destined to carry out her sentance to the letter. Thus when positioned with the loophole to escape, she set off on her next journey.
