Sonor Desert

The Sonor Desert is commonly mistaken for the portion of massive dunes in the southeastern region of Midterra. However, this misconception couldn't be further from the truth. The desert in fact covers the entire southern portion of Midterra beneath the Steppes of Sonor and Blackwood Bog. The sun has little resistance in reaching the sands here, and winds can reach skin ripping speeds. Myths surround these sands about a lost civilization pre-dating the arrival of the monster races, some even eluding to a temple to a forgotten deity.
