This domain is more of a large village than a "kingdom". Political decisions are made by the elected mayor, however due to the halflings lack of knowledge of the outside world that mayor generally serves for a lifetime. The folk of the Vale value the peaceful lifestyle that comes with the isolation of their region, and they're generally in no mood to change that. The Settlements of Vale is currently overseen by Mayor Thaler Proudfoot, a simple halfling who finds that political overreach is absolutely unneeded in the lives of his folk.
