Fur: Cryptid Esque Stuff

The Fur Bearing Trout was a thing back in the olden days of america that was a creature pioneers talked about having fished up every now and then. It's not real but I wanted to bring it up because it's silly and I wanted a sutible intro to this topic
Do any of the big cryptid style creatures exist in out world? Is Mothman a thing? Does Bigfoot lumber around somewhere? Are they mostly chill, or are some distructive? Both?
I like the idea of some things being real and others not, but people still hold out on some of them being real even though we still don't know. Like people have met the Mothman, but still haven't seen Bigfoot. Or maybe the creatures don't exist but some other variation does instead. Like the Fur Bearing Trout is a thing of myth and legend, but we caught several Fur Bearing Lizards in the mountains of Washington the other day so that's neat.
Are there still people who dedicate there like to find mythical creatures like the cryptid hunters of our time? Even with the world being clearly more supernatural than a normal one? I would say of course there are because people are going to people no matter what you do.
