Fae
Not to be confused with faeries, who are tiny, or elves, who are rather snide, the fae of the Fae Court are mysterious figures who spend a lot of their time tending to plants of significance.
Their ears are slightly pointed, and their coloring tends toward the vibrant end of things that are almost believable for a human. Their appearance tends to be striking in some way, and usually ethereal.
They are the traditional guardians of trees like the Ilyanoryth.
They can also turn out something like the mob.
They are bound by their laws in a spiritual sense, which includes a lot about etiquette. Most younger and less powerful fae can lie, but the older and more powerful ones have notable difficulties. The more tied in one of them is to the magic that binds and powers their society, the more bound they are by the laws, which include prohibitions against dishonesty.
Their courtesy is legendary, and in most instances there should be no qualms about accepting gifts from them. The exception is food. If it's anything but a a formal dinner with its own set of rules, don't accept food from a fae. It creates a binding that they can bring into effect even years later.
