Eye: Witches/Magic

Eye of newt? Evil eye? It fits I swear
In general magic users come in all shapes and sizes though the ability of magic varies from person to person. Like 80% of people can do small things like unlock doors, or make sparks, or clean something. Maybe you can levitate something across the room or shatter glass. Fewer people can do your fancy elemental style wizard spells. And even fewer can actually do insane world shaping things.
Magic also isn't evil it's just like any other weapon or tool it depends on the person using it.
In that regard I think witches should still be a term solely for bad magic users, like streight up generic cauldron stirring weirdos. Curses can be a thing, and potions, and all sorts of other icky nonsense.
Other than that different races should be able to do different things and the way they interact with the magic "force" of the world. Different magics probably wouldn't mix well together, btu maybe soem should and some shouldn't. Like putting different ingrediants into a cake. Sometimes your mixture is something wonderful and sometimes it explodes in the oven.
We can definitely have cool magic writings as well. Runes, different languages, symbols. It's all fun to me
