Luvos' Bargain

During The First War, Hera had begun to build her army against the opposing Eldars. Luvos was proud of his dear wife's progress but feared that the power of Eldars such a Hela and Gaar would overpower their efforts. Luvos decided to take a stroll through the gardens by their palace, pondering how best to please Hera while aiding the allied front. On his stroll he was met by a merchant. The merchant spoke; "Thou appears woeful, oh Luvos. What aches thy soul?". "I worry for my wife and her resolve against the dark forces beyond" Luvos answered, "and I walk here and ponder a way to give my aid.". The merchant gave the matter a moments thought and then asked Luvos "What would thou be willing to relinquish for thy wife?". "Anything." said Luvos, "Anything except for my own life.". The merchant then offered him a deal. He promised that by the next morning, 100.000 spearmen of pure gold would arrive to the palace, ready to advance on their enemies. All Luvos had to do in return was come with the merchant to "the beyond"; what lies outside the cosmos. Luvos thought the exchange rather simple so he agreed. The merchant then took him to the beyond. Immediately, Luvos felt his senses drown in silence. He experienced absolute nothingness and emptiness. He felt non-existence. The void consumed his mind and planted itself within him, transforming him into a demon.   The next morning, Hera walked outside the gates of the palace and found 100.000 golden spearmen, ready to serve. She was surprised and did not understand where they came from. It was then, when Luvos returned. His flesh had blackened, his hair withered, and where he once had eyes of amethyst there was naught but darkness. Hera was horrified at this sight and summoned the other Eldars to the courtyard. When they arrived, Luvos had destroyed the entire army and had turned his seven sons into demon princes. The Eldars and the demons did battle and with their collective strength, the Eldars managed to overpower the demons and forced them to flee. They fled far east, where they established a domain built on sin and chaos.
