Savy

Beginning when you choose this role as your specialty, at 1st rank, and again at 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th rank, you can choose a Savy.

Chart the Stars

At 1st rank, you gain proficiency with cartographer's tools and grants you the use of cartographer's supplies (quill, ink, parchment. a pair of compasses, calipers. and a ruler), a waterproof leather map case, a spyglass, and a supply of colored inks.
Additionally, you have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to sail at night when the stars are visible. You can flawlessly create maps within an hour of an area you have explored and you have advantage on Intelligence (Investigation) checks when attempting to decode and decipher maps, such as treasure maps.

Eye Spy

At 2nd rank, you have advantage on Wisdom (perception) checks looking through a spyglass and can expertly make out the detail of objects as far as 1 mile away even in darkness. Using your cartographers tools you may then create a map to layout what you observed with your spyglass.
Additionally, you have a photographic like memory. You can expertly draw anything that you have seen in your life.

Charted Course

Also at 2nd rank, you may spend one day using your cartographers tools, maps, and 1000 gp in materials to prepare the crew for the journey ahead, this must be a route you have traveled before. You chart the safest route possible, avoiding any dangers you are aware of and you cannot get lost by nonmagical means while on your journey. The crew is alert during this voyage and cannot be surprised by forces outside the ship. The crew also adds your Wisdom modifier to their passive perception. Deviating off coarse ends this effect.

Consult the Map

At 3rd rank, you have gathered quite a collection of maps in your travels. You may make a Wisdom (Survival) check to check you map case to see if you have a map of a location of your choosing.

Sailors Intuition

Also at 3rd rank, you've become accustomed to how the sea behaves and you know when something is wrong. At the DMs discretion, whenever something dangerous is brewing (such as a storm, a maelstrom, sea monsters, etc.) your hairs stand up on the back of your neck and you are alert to its presence. You may make a Wisdom (Survival) check to determine what it is.
Additionally you can no longer be surprised while out on the seas.

With the Wind

At 4th rank, you naturally know how the wind blows. Your ship always starts combat sailing with the wind.

Coordinated Sailing

Also at 4th rank, your coordination with the crew while sailing has become flawless. While piloting the ship you may use your bonus action to command the crew to operate the sails.

Master Cartographer

At 5th rank, you've memorized almost every map, chart, and nautical book you've come across. You can take an hour to study a map to memorize it forever. You no longer need a physical copy of a map to gain the effects of using one if you have the map memorized.

Master Navigator

Also at 5th rank, you can no longer get lost while sailing, and while on a charted course you cannot get lost even by magical means.
Additionally you have advantage on Wisdom (Survival) checks to navigate through storms, fog, reefs, and other natural sea phenomena.
