General Summary
Mirtul 4th, 1492
While flying through wildspace, the Rat Pack happens upon an abandoned wasp ship called The Adventure. Aboard the ship, they couldn’t find any clues as to whom it used to belong to. They moved the helm from the Goblin Dart over to the new ship, dubbing it The Hard Nut.
Glebnor insisted they knew where to go next. It took a lot of prodding, but Azid eventually gave command of the helm over to them.
Mirtul 14th, 1492
Glebnor, having piloted the ship for over a week, was no closer to finding a place for them to land. Out of food, the party was fortunate enough to spot an asteroid flying through space with a city built on it. They quickly made their way there and landed.
The were boarded by a dock worker named Pete. He charged them a fee for docking and then gave them a map. They had arrived to a city called the Rock of Bral. They first went to the Lesser Market to do light shopping before going to a bar called the Rock Rat. It was operated by the foul-mouthed but friendly wererat Maya. She was particularly fond of Stinkbreath, but Glebnor made slightly racist remarks towards wererats that quickly wore out their welcome.
Afterwards, the group went to Elmander’s to find some star charts. After implying that he would be put out of business soon, Geasle smoothed the situation by purchasing charts of Realmspace.
Mirtul 15th, 1492
The party went to the Mage’s Guild to look for work. This time, Azid, when asked to prove that he was a mage, used his mage hand to pull the eyelids of the guild member. They were promptly thrown out.
Outside, a female elf named Quranis called them over. She had worn out her welcome with the Guild as well. She offered to pay them 1,060 GP to go and retrieve a large diamond called the Doom Croaker for her. It was guarded by some lindwurms in the Astral Sea. The party agreed to but first they wanted to prepare for the journey.
They went to the Library of Spheres to learn more about the lindwurms and the Doom Croaker. They found out that according to legends, the Doom Croaker was cursed and its owner would surely die an excruciating death.
After the library, they went to the Stockyards and sold the Goblin Dart to Tomin for 3,000 GP. They then paid to have their ship upgraded with copper plating and bought some ammunition for the ballista.
Mirtul 19th, 1492
With the copper plating installed on their ship, the Rat Pack was ready to leave. They went and found Quranis and told her that they were prepared. She bought provisions for the journey and they all boarded The Hard Nut, prepared to travel to the Astral Sea.
