Chapter 18

The party continues their journey with Eli immediately pulling another card. A bright light glows and seeps from the card into Eli's body. He doesn't say much but shares that he gets the feeling within a year, he may have the ability to do something. He believes it is good. After pulling this card he walks over to wehre Pam had disappeared and picked up the Death card. Shortly after doing so, a coin fell from seemingly nowhere. Along with an amulet. Looking at the coin, on one side is Pam in her prime marrying the love of her life. A very average looking human named Archie. On the other side, both Pam and Archie are facing away from each other, on their knees and wrapped in chains. Archie is still youthful, however Pam is now older. 
Upon seeing this, Greavs recognizes this as a soil coin, a currency used in Hel. It captures the esscense and soul of someone in the coin, usually a singular but in this case multiple. Eli, hears from his patron, the only way to save them, is to go to Hel. 
Elora, quickly assessing the situation, snatches the amulet and stuffes it in her bag of holding. The party then decides they need to talk and put everything on the table. Eli, suggests his new homestead in the celestial plane to do this. They all grab on and Eli transports them to a magnifesint mansion. Located in the Celesteial plane, the ground is completely made of clouds. A long pathway leads up to the golden mansion with 15 stairs on either side. It leads up to a front porch which an overhang is held in place by four grand columns. Upon entering the foyer, anything Eli imagines appears. Velvet couches appear along with a coffee table, as an afterthought a bowl of candy appears. 
Eli the conjurs a butler by the name of, Dao, who he requests to go fetch him some tea for the party and milk for Hugo. Turning around, they find Rose, standing at the entrance with a large grin on her face holding the amulet. Still smiling, Rose started breaking and stretching, growing into a large, feathered creature with red light beaming out of her chest. In an instant, Eli summoned Angelic Warriors to his home, but Rose was gone before they got there, along with the amulet. 
The celestial warriors explained to them that that was an Archdevil of Hel, Xaldrak - the Shadow Tormenter. They are one of the higher commands of Hel, a Lord. They have earned their seat of power by trickery, deceit, and earning people's trust and taking it away. He has spun a web of lies to the other commanders, keeping them afraid and in need of his powers. Eli spoke with his Patron, the Omenseeker, and realized that the Archdevil is about as strong as him and they had actually fought before. 
The party sat back down in the room and discussed everything, banishing the other two (JayJay and Lucian) to a side room so the core party could speak. One by one they went through everythign that is needed and decided they needed to get in contact with the Emberheart Resistance. This is their best hope of returning to the material plane. They journey back to the FeyWyld, but not before Hippo learns Dao seems to have a penchant for tortles. 
After a day's journey, the party locates the city of Mel Dorei. It doesn't take long before they locate a tavern by the name of "The Outside Inn". This is where they get taken in the back, given cheeseburgers, and introduced to the Emberheart Resistance. They speak with multiple people by the names of Semil, Azura, and Cortex. Semil, the leader of the group, decides that they need to get them back to the Material Plane and Cortex should go with them. After a bit of resistance Cortex finally agrees. Semil, requests the group come up with a name so that when they communicate about their findings to the other members of the resistance they have something to call them. 
The party agrees to become a part of the Emberheart Resistance, and must wait until tomorrow or possibly the day after for the woman who has the power to teleport them to arrive. They plan on going back to Riled to speak with Dahlia about all the happenings. During the night, Cortex passes out new magical items he has created, and also, introduces Elora to her spirit animal - a  black crow named Okay.
