Blind Spot Effect

"He was there a second ago, and was obscured by a passerby for just a heartbeat. And then, nowhere to be seen!
— A Cericor Newcomer regarding a person being affected by the Blind Spot Effect through a Blank Space Teleportation.

General

Blank Spot Effect is the name of an effect that obscures an affected individual, event or item from the sight of any onlookers at the time of their appearance or disappearance. It is believed to have been constructed by Architect, but its true origin has been lost due to the effects of the Amnesia Pulse.
— Supernatural Effects of Alézun'Teran.

Manifestations

Usually, a mere instinctual blinking of the spectator will be enough. Other times it is obscured by a passerby, clouds, or blinding sunlight, just to name a few.
