Mythril

Otherwise known as "spirit-steel" or "star-steel," mythril is an exceedingly rare, extraterrestrial metal. It has been known for several cycles, and meteorites bearing the metal are said to have been launched to the world by the Spirit-star. Some even go as far as to say those meteorites are fragments of the star itself.

Properties

Material Characteristics

In its raw form, mythril appears as either tarnished silver chunks in its meteorite or silvery veins in the same meteorite. The “tarnish” is not actual oxidation; it’s mostly just a result of the meteorite burning in the atmosphere and thus easily comes off in the refinement process. But in its refined form, mythril is a pale metal with a lighter sheen than even silver. It is also subtly iridescent; at the right angles, sheens of blues and soft purples can be seen.

Physical & Chemical Properties

Mythril is much lighter than most regular steels, but is also tougher. If not heated, it is extremely hard to bend and break. It does not make compounds or alloys very easily, tending instead to remain as a pure metal. It is also said to have a more magical property: it can interact with all four realms at once, unlike any other physical material other than its compounds. And when highly refined and pure, mythril is one of the few materials that can resist nuril Voiding.
