These riders can develop a special relationship to their companion animals and can become more comfortable being in the saddle than out of it. There are numerous jobs that may require this sort of lifesstyle and none of them are without danger. Possible types of equestrians include:
Outrider: Someone who guards and guides caravans and travelers.
Light cavalry: Fast moving warriors that launch quick raids.
Heavy cavalry: Heavily armored warriors that plow into infantry lines.
Scout: Reports about enemy movements and upcoming terrain.
Nomad: Born into a culture of continuous travel.
Courier: Fast-riding delivery service.
Features
Equestrian Intuition: You have a highly responsive relationship with your mount. When riding it, add your proficiency bonus to its armor class and saving throws. Additionally, you have the ability to sleep in the saddle. You can spend up to half of a long rest on horseback while your horse walks. You cannot guide your horse while sleeping but it will continue to walk down a clearly defined road or follow another rider.
