Rypochel

Once, in the icy embrace of Enser's Tundra, the Rypochel fern thrived as a captivating subspecies of the Dream Fern. Alas, its existence has been extinguished, forever lost due to the cataclysmic Pact of Flame that scorched the land. Though extinct, its memory remains as a reminder of the intriguing botanical wonders that once adorned the frigid terrain. The Rypochel boasted turquoise leaves that delicately unfurled, akin to twirling fiddlehead fronds. Yet, it wasn't the whimsical appearance that distinguished it, but rather the effects it imparted when ingested as a drug.   This extraordinary fern held the power to deceive the senses, generating a peculiar and fascinating illusion within those who consumed it. Upon taking the substance, the user's body would be tricked into perceiving a false sensation of warmth, as if enveloped in the tender embrace of a crackling hearth. Even amidst the harsh and freezing grip of the tundra, those under the fern's spell believed themselves to be comfortably cocooned in a soothing blanket of heat.   But the allure of the fern didn't end there. Just like its parent species, the Dream Fern, this extinct subspecies had the remarkable ability to prolong its effects until the following morning if taken just before sleep. Such an extended duration of euphoria only intensified the allure of the fern, captivating those who sought respite from the chill of the tundra.   As if woven by nature's hand, the potency of the fern increased in proportion to an individual's exhaustion level. The more wearied and fatigued a person was, the stronger the fern's enchanting effects became. It was as though the fern sympathized with the burdens carried by the weary soul, offering solace and a temporary escape from the harsh realities of the frozen abyss. Or more logically it was a self-defense method to cause any creature which eats it to freeze to death.
