Mana

Mana is an invisible, usually intangible source of power that exists in all matter. Mana exists in a Spectrum, matching the Eight gods. Order, Water, Darkness, Fire, Chaos, Air, Light, and Earth. Mana exists in differing amounts depending on the environment. Volcanoes have more Fire and Earth mana, Crystals have Order mana, Rivers have Water mana.

When someone casts magic, some of the matching mana in the area is used up, or "burned" to create the spells effect, and takes time to return, except in the case of the Lunatus, who carry magic within themselves for spellcasting.
