Ideals

Beauty Ideals

In the deserts of Orongo conditions are much too intense to worry about physical features for the most part. Some do appreciate and admire scars on fellow tribesman due to the story and sacrifice they endured to survive.

Gender Ideals

There is little division among males and females. While tribes may vary, the vast majority see them purely as equal and important in regards to survival. An entire tribe works to raise children as well as provide food, water, shelter, and protection. When a woman is with child they are expected to stay home in the later months.

Relationship Ideals

Due to the harshness of Orongo, relationships are rare among Tovaka. Men and women may pair off from time to time, often to relieve stress, but forming relationships is not a common practice.
