Artifice

Those with the artifice affinity have the ability to empower items, tools, and weapons that they are using. However, the moment that the item is no longer on their person, the empowerment is removed. This empowerment is pretty random and, in most cases, will add a random damage type to weapons or increase the effectiveness of a tool. Each point in artifice increases one's control over the empowerment. If the item is not had an artifice for less than 24 hours an is artificed once more, then it simply re-acquires the Artifice ability it had.You can only artifice once a day.
  Level I:
You have no control over what the artifice ability does to whatever you're empowering. Pickaxes can wind up doing extra necrotic damage while weapons are able to mine faster, etc. This can result is some strange and chaotic abilities. Can only have one artifice item at a time.   Level II: 
You have a bit of control over this ability. Whenever you move to artifice something, choose one of the four categories, it gains a random ability from that category. Can have up to two artifice items at once.   Level III:
You have more control over your artifice ability. When you move to artifice something, choose a category and two items in that category. The resulting artifice will be from the category and will not be either of the options you selected. Can have up to three artifice items at once.   Level IV:
You have complete control over Artifice. When artificing something, choose three abilities. The artifice item gains all three of those abilities. Can only have one item artifice at once.   Artifice Empowerment Table: Whenever using Artifice, It pulls from this table.

Piercing Passive +2 to a random stat. 2AP: Prone an opponent. Bleeding
Fizzle Passive +2 to Attacks. 1RP: Dodge without a roll. Stagger
Blunt You levitate while wielding. 2RP: Teleport up to 10 feet. Petrify
Lashing Lights up 20 feet while wielding. 1AP: Increase damage by 2. Explosive
True Items crafted with this are twice stronger/better. 1AP: Next attack has Life-leech. Control
Necrotic Choose a creature on artifice. Glows near chosen. 1AP: Next attack has Energy-leech. Blind
Void Have a turn before combat if wielding this. 1AP: Next attack has Stamina-leech. Trace
Bloodbound Item can never leave your hand. Have 1 less AP than normal. Self-Harm
