Witchaven

Witchaven is a large settlement (for the Panar Region, at least) on the westernmost edge of Eburlona. To the North rise the Panar Mountains with Fortum Tower standing ominously at their base, surrounded by the Twisted Woods. The West is dominated by the shores of The Maelstrom, with docks scratching just the surface of the choppy waters. The town is centered around the Market Square, featuring a smithy, a meeting hall, a tavern, and a few small shops. Every morning residents can see the fishermen rising for their daily catches, while farmers in the East and South tend to their crops, with exception to Godsday, when the locals pay tithe to The Temple. Just beyond the palisades that guard the town proper stands the Alchemist's Library, where Vorwin's silhouette can be seen in the windows at night, lit by chromatic explosions.

Infrastructure

The Tavern: "The Screaming Skeleton Bed and Bar" owned by Lyne and Dianne is a cozy Inn/Tavern on the NorthEastern corner of the Market Square. Featuring 8 tables, a bar, a small stage and a conference room on the first floor, it finds itself packed with regular patrons from town. Adventurers who climb the stairs will find four bedrooms available, behind locked and enchanted doors for additional security.   The Smithy: Owned by Smithy, Rudolph is frequently seen helping him out with running materials to and fro, or hammering out smaller projects. Smithy deals primarily in farming equipment and tool maintenance, but is no stranger to crafting basic weapons. While he can't craft magical equipment himself, he does have a knack for identifying a number of them   The Meeting Hall: One of oldest buildings in Witchaven, the Meeting Hall is a rough square building, 50ft on each side, with the inside cozily filled with a number of comfy armchairs around a firepit.   The Temple: Watched over by Father Kurt, this modest temple is a rectangular building with two small wings coming off the rear. The main section is dominated by two altars at the feet of Ceres and Minerva, demonstrating the town's main values in wisdom and agriculture. In the Eastern wing, two additional altars can be found, one embossed with the symbol of Apollo and the other with that of Mars.   Alchemist Library: Filled to the brim with dangerous chemicals, a veritable wealth of books on alchemy, vials, beakers, burners, and gunpowder this small building also contains one Vorwin Ningel the Archivist of Witchaven.   Farms: Surrounding Witchaven are a number of Farms, where farmers can be found hard at work tending to their crops and livestock.   Fishing docks: Along the Western edge of town the docks thrust into the sea, allowing fishing boats to make their way out and return with their catch.   Twisted Woods: To the north of the town lie the twisted woods, said to be haunted by three witches...
