Personal history
Kidnapped for illegal magical experimentation on the Alestrian-Evondrochian border. Magically enhanced under extreme pain in a super-soldier project, traumatising him. Broke out of the research facility, killed his captors with his bare hands. Fled from his homeland by ship, got boarded by pirates and brought to the Maw. Worked his way up through a fighting pit, killing one after the other bare-handed or with knives. Earned his freedom, set out to sail south with the first crew that would take him. Learned how to shoot a crossbow during his time as crew, found out he has a knack for it. Enjoyed killing from a distance far more than up close. Bailed when his ship got obliterated by a tidemaster aboard an Erisylean galleon. Swam all the way to Tidecall. Took up pearl-diving for a bit, learned about the properties of blight-pearls the hard way when he gave one to a coworker who promptly turned Pearlescent. Was attacked by an assassin from the Undertow, whose contract he had apparently stolen. Wrestled the assassin to the ground and joined Undertow to make use of his real talents. Commissioned a heavier crossbow to pack a bigger punch, still wasn't satisfied. Had the Undertow's craftiest make him a crossbow with draw weight so strong he's the only man alive who can pull it back. Now one of the world's most notorious assassins.
